Opening Act is a theatre studio for students, located in Danville, KY! Our mission is to empower and encourage students through the performing arts!
In 2017, Opening Act was a dream that became reality. Since our start we have had the pleasure to educate over 75 students of all ages. Opening Act is more than a training program, we provide a safe place for students to explore the performing arts and grow through the experience. We value the process over the product, and it shows with the joy that the students display in every performance.
Emma Steberl (owner/instructor) is a 28 year old resident of Perryville, KY. With over 16 years of professional theatre experience, Emma has performed in the states of Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, and New York City. Some of her favorite productions include Annie, State Fair, The Sound of Music, Hairspray, Once on This Island, and Into the Woods. She has performed alongside Tony nominees Beth Fowler and Dee Hoty in the Off-Broadway production of The Night of the Hunter. In addition to musical theatre, Emma has experience on camera and with voice over work.
